About City

About City and Tourist Places

Berlin, capital and chief urban centre of Germany .The city lies at the heart of the North German Plain, athwart an east-west commercial and geographic axis that helped make it the capital of the kingdom of Prussia and then, from 1871, of a unified Germany. Berlin’s former glory ended in 1945, but the city survived the destruction of World War II. It was rebuilt and came to show amazing economic and cultural growth.

Weather in March

Your thick, winter layers can be left at home because the Germany weather in March is much milder. On average, you’ll see temperatures of 8°C to 9°C, and perhaps a few degrees higher in built up areas like Berlin. At night it could fall to 1°C or 2°C, especially away from the coast. Bring an umbrella in case you get caught in some showers. Germany has 37mm of rainfall, on average, across 13 rainy days. These could be more frequent on higher ground in the south. Don’t be surprised to see some bright spring sunshine, though. The country soaks up four hours each day this month, with perhaps as much as six hours of sunshine on the sunniest days.

Transportation

The Airport Express and regional trains together run four times an hour from the station under Terminal 1 to Berlin Central Station. In addition, the S9 and S45 S-bahn trains travel from T1/T2 into Berlin city centre. If travelling by car, the BER terminals are easy to reach via the A113 and the B96a.
